In addition to attending massage school and becoming a licensed massage therapist back in 1998, Tash completed programs in nutrition counseling, fitness training, and corrective exercise with The National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2005. While living in Annapolis, MD she worked in health clubs for two years designing health and wellness regimens for the club’s clientele while maintaining her bodywork practice. Eventually she left the club scene and put her attention into her business full time. She utilizes the methods she learned and practiced to assist clients in finding the right lifestyle to support weight management, pain management, and a better life. She studied the Rolf® Method of Structural Integration with Judah Lyons at The Lyons Institute in 2012. She is certified in Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment® and trained with Erik Dalton, PhD in 2007 as well as the late John Upledger, D.O. in 1999. They are the leading authorities in their respected fields of advanced massage and bodywork.
Tash is the published author of many health and fitness related articles. Her latest book titled: “My Call to Spiritual Freedom” is now available on Amazon http://www.amazon.com in paperback and audiobook format. All proceeds benefit “Guidance for a Better Life Retreat Center” http://www.guidanceforabetterlife.com which has been mentoring folks towards a more abundant life for over thirty years.
Tash attended the college of Southern Maryland in 1993 and played tennis there for two years on a scholarship. She and her team were invited to compete in The Tennis Nationals several times. A lifelong athlete, Tash now enjoys road cycling, mountain biking, snowboarding, surfing (when there’s a hurricane a brewing) and hiking with her dog. She understands the frustrations of pain and injury and has been receiving therapeutic massage and other modalities of bodywork for many years. Her approach is to give clients the “most bang for their buck” and meets client’s where they are with the goal to get them where they want to be.
Tash Canine started her business, Back In Balance, LLC, in 1998 to educate and empower her clients about the benefits of consistent preventative self care through therapeutic bodywork and corrective exercise.
“I would not be able to do the physically demanding work that I do for the last 22 years if not for the ongoing body maintenance I make a priority. I believe my injuries have given me the ability to relate to clients and solve problems. My very personal relationship with The Divine allows me to focus and tune into a client’s “needs” in unique ways. I am grateful because I have grown over these years and excited because there is always more to learn.” – Tash
